At Fireman’s Fund we have a rich tradition of supporting the communities we help protect, in partnership with agents and brokers.
This mission started on day one when our founder, William Holdredge, pledged 10% of company profits to the widows and orphans of fallen firefighters. This spirit of giving and social responsibility continued through the years from World War I, when employees volunteered with the Red Cross, to 2012 when employees took up a collection for the victims of Superstorm Sandy.
As we celebrate our 150th anniversary, we are proud of our continued support of fire services across the country through our Heritage Program®. We award grants for needed equipment, firefighting training and community education programs, and work with agents and employees to identify deserving firehouses in local communities.

From the company’s beginnings, we have always looked to the courageous firefighter for guidance. A firefighter is trustworthy and prizes integrity, and we have worked hard to follow in that tradition.
Our Code of Conduct is the cornerstone of our financial success and outlines the standards all employees are responsible for upholding. It is one reason for our longevity and why we have been there when it matters
