Changes to Your Billing Experience
Several important changes will take place when your insurance policy renews into our new billing system on or after September 1, 2011.
Payment Plan  Changes

  1. If you currently have a four-payment plan, the frequency of your payment installment will change from 90 to 60 days.(1)
  2. If you currently have a two-payment plan, the frequency of your payment installment will change from 180 to 150 days.(1)
  3. If you currently have a nine-payment plan or you have monthly payments payable via electronic funds transfer (EFT) or pay in full at the beginning of your policy period, you will keep your current pay plan.

Please note: If you have a six-month policy, and you do not pay in full at the beginning of your policy period, then your payment plan will change to a four-payment plan (four installments of 25% each due every 30 days).

What do these changes mean to you?

  1. If you’re happy with your new payment plan, you don’t need to take any action.
  2. You can change your payment plan - once your policy renews -  to one of the following by calling Fireman’s Fund Billing Operations at 1.866.386.3932.

    • Full payment
    • Two payments
    • Four payments
    • Nine payments
    • Monthly (requires EFT)
  3. If you want to sign up for recurring EFT payments, call Fireman’s Fund Billing Operations at 1.866.386.3932.

If you use online banking to pay your bill, you’ll need to update the post office box address to which you send your payments.

(1) This change does not apply to policies in Florida.

Fee Changes

The fees you may be assessed may change.

  1. We’re reducing installment fees to $6 per installment.
  2. A $25 fee may be assessed for returned checks and rejected EFT drafts
  3. A $15 fee may be assessed for any policy reinstated after cancellation for non-payment
  4. Fees vary by state and are subject to Department of Insurance approval. Other exceptions may apply
