Green Manufacturer's Property Coverage
After a partial or total loss, Manufacturer's Green Upgrade coverage will pay the increased cost to replace damaged real or business personal property - including machinery and equipment - with green-rated equipment, products, and construction materials.
In those instances where no green-rated equivalent exists, we will pay to replace with products or construction materials that use resources more efficiently; improve human health, or avoid toxic emissions.
And our Manufacturer's Green Certified Building coverage will pay the costs incurred to restore a manufacturer's building to its LEED®-certification ranking. Better yet, we will pay the additional costs required to upgrade the building one full certification level higher than it was prior to the loss.
Sustainable Manufacturer Pricing Credits
Businesses with a sustainability program benefit from higher employee productivity, reduced absenteeism, and lower energy bills, thereby improving their profitability. Plus, sustainable businesses present fewer safety risks and are, therefore, better to insure. That's why Fireman's Fund offers pricing credits to manufacturers who employ sustainability initiatives, practices, and products.

For companies wanting a formal sustainability program, we partner with consultants who offer initial feasibility consulting at no cost to our manufacturing policyholders. Our sustainability consulting firm also assists companies with product standard certification, life cycle assessments, and marketing implementation.
