Optional Surface Water and Flood Coverage for Prestige® Home Premier
Surface water and flood damage to residential property has become increasingly prevalent, even in low-to-moderate flood zones. This is the result of increasing levels of annual rain and snowfall, as well as run-off caused by new construction developments.

Fireman's Fund addresses the growing need for homeowners coverage in this area with a comprehensive endorsement to our Prestige Home Premier policy.

With our Surface Water/Flood Damage endorsement, you get:

  • High coverage limits -- these can go as high as the limits on your Prestige Home Premier policy.
  • Broader coverages than provided by the National Flood Insurance Program and other carriers.
  • Coverage for finished basements and other structures (detached garages, guest houses, boat houses, gazebos, etc.).
  • Reimbursement up to $10,000 for loss avoidance supplies and labor (such as sandbags).
  • Business property loss limits to $10,000.
  • Seamless claims handling -- which is especially helpful when a single event causes multiple types of damage to your home. You also don't have to pay out-of-pocket for repairs and then submit receipts for reimbursement, as the NIFP and certain other carriers require.
  • Be sure to inventory your possessions and valuables with Why Take an Inventory (pdf).
